For my assignment ,
out of the book Life of Pi by Yann Martel, I chose to depict, chapter 5, from
pages 21-26. This part of the story talks about Pi, and his struggle to break
free of bullying. Showing how strong of a person Pi is. I chose this part of
the book, because I think this was the first part in which you get Pi’s
character traits portrayed in a strong way. The events surrounding this part,
is completely separate before this you are getting context on Pi because its so
early into the novel your learning who Pi is.
This part helps you to see why him name is Pi, and how he got the
nickname.
